Samsung confirms that the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Z Fold8 Ultra will use a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

Qualcomm and Samsung posted this on Instagram, confirming that the upcoming Galaxy Z foldables will be powered by the custom Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy. Well, there is an asterisk to that. First, there is no phone visible in the video – just the outline of one. The aspect ratio suggests that this is the Galaxy Z Fold8, aka Z Fold Wide. When opened, this will have a 4:3 display inside. In its closed state, this phone is not as tall and narrow as the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra (the new name of the classic book-style foldable). You can see the two side by side (in dummy form)...
