Project Fi officially rebrands to Google Fi, finally supports iPhones and most Android devices
The prematurely posted report from yesterday was right: Google has indeed rebranded its Project Fi carrier into Google Fi. To further mark its exit from beta status, it's also announced that the network finally supports iPhones and most Android devices. There's a huge catch, however. While you can bring your own phone to Fi, in order to benefit from the full functionality of the service you still need to use one of only a few Android handsets that the carrier is offering directly (or has in the past).
